HEATH Ledger usually gets his way with women but there was one Australian model who didn’t fall for his charms.

The Casanova, who recently split with Michelle Williams, has apparently been stalking Perth girl Gemma Ward, showing up to the same bars and parties, a source told the NY Post.

“He’s following Gemma around everywhere,” a Page Six spy said. “He somehow finds out where she is going to be and then miraculously shows up to the parties or bars where she is.” But Ward, said our source, “is definitely not interested.”

AUSSIE supermodel Gemma Ward is starring in a new film about autism. And it is a fashion shocker.

Ward is wearing a baby pink stack hat teamed with a yellow and blue school uniform.

The outfit would horrify the denizens of the fashion world she usually inhabits, but the girl-next-door look is from a scene in her new film The Black Balloon.

Ward stars alongside Toni Collette and Rhys Wakefield as teenager Jackie Masters, whose new boyfriend Thomas is struggling to cope with his autistic brother, Charlie.

It is the first feature film for director Elissa Down, who says she wrote the part of Jackie with fellow Perth girl Ward in mind.

SHE’S made love to a few lenses in her time as a supermodel, but when it came to puckering up for her first feature film kiss, Gemma Ward was apparently super shy.

Playing school girl Jackie Masters in a new Aussie flick, The Black Balloon, due out next year, Ward had to cosy up with Home & Away soap stud Rhys Wakefield in the coming-of-age drama, trapped in the stormy throws of young love.

As the pic’s Sydney director Elissa Down predicted, Ward is mesmerising on film, even minus the makeup and trappings of a model’s life.

Jetting home for the holidays this weekend, the runway babe is keen to pursue her film career, meeting up with Down while she’s here.

She’s already bagged her second shot at Hollywood fame, after playing a masked bandit in yet-to-be released horror film The Strangers, opposite Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman.

AUSTRALIAN models Gemma Ward and Catherine McNeill are the stars of the new 2008 Pirelli calendar which has been launched in Shanghai.

Created under the direction of French photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the calendar was shot in Shanghai and dedicated to China and the “pearls of the Orient”.

It is the first time the famous almanac (in its 35th year) has ever been dedicated to an Asian country, bearing witness to the interest of the Milan group for China, where a few days ago its second tyre factory in the country was opened in the Shandong province.

Pirelli has chosen Shanghai as the setting for its 2008 calendar, with movie star Maggie Cheung among the women gracing its pages in acknowledgment of China’s growing importance as an economic and cultural force.

The Italian tyre maker hired Patrick Demarchelier to photograph Cheung, star of films like Wong Kar Wai’s In the Mood for Love (2000), and 10 other women for the 35th edition of its famous calendar.

Gemma Ward is turning 20 tomorrow (yes, she shares her birthday with Anna Wintour!) and will host an exclusive friends-only “Jungle Fever” celebration downtown in about 24 hours or so. In addition to a mandatory costume policy (animals welcomed and encouraged), party-goers might also have to BYOB since the gorgeous mannequin is legally underage in this country. But fear not, organizers opted to provide revelers with enough Red Bull to keep the party going all night instead!
